Move In Procedures

We have included the following checklist of forms and other information required by the Management Office. These forms, as well as other forms you will need over the life of your tenancy, can be found in the Forms Section of this site.

When using forms, please keep one copy for you and return the original to the Management Office.

It is requested that you complete the following forms and return them to the Management Office at least two weeks prior to your scheduled move-in. If you have any questions, please contact the Management Office at 303.628.1130.

When moving into Dominion Towers your moving company will be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance with coverage for General Liability, Worker's Compensation and Auto Liability.

Insurance Requirements
Pursuant to your Lease Agreement, your company is required to provide the Owner/Landlord with a Certificate of Insurance naming the owner as additional insured. Please review your lease for your specific insurance requirements as they may differ from the guidelines stated below. Faxing this form directly to your insurance provider will ensure that the specific conditions will be provided as required in your Lease Agreement.

Your Certificate of Insurance should address the minimum insurance requirements as per your Lease.

ADDITIONAL INSUREDS must be listed on the Certificate of Insurance exactly as follows:

Moving Procedures

All moves must be scheduled in advance with the Property Management Office to avoid conflicts. Please call 303.628.1130 to reserve the freight elevator. Proof of insurance for the moving company is required to reserve a freight elevator. Only one tenant may move at a time.

Loading Dock

For Loading Dock access, the moving truck may not exceed 12 feet in height and 28 feet in length bumper-to-bumper. Larger trucks will need to make arrangements with the City of Denver Occupancy Permit Office at 303.446.3759 to obtain a permit to park on the street. Items may not be moved through the Lobby.

Move-In Hours

Monday through Friday: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM; Weekends: Friday 6:00 PM to Monday 6:00 AM

Elevators and Loading Dock space are not reserved for daytime deliveries and there is a twenty (20) minute limit for parking in the Loading Dock.

Freight Elevator

The building is equipped with 3 freight elevators (includes one for each elevator riser). The freight elevator will be made available for use during your move-in. Passenger elevators may not be used.

Please contact the Management Office in advance to schedule use of the freight elevator. Pallets and/or pallet jacks are not permitted.

The capacity and dimensions of the freight elevators are:

Height: 8’1"
Width: 6'8"
Depth: 5'8"
Doors: 3’6” Wide x 7’ High
Weight Capacity: 3,500 lbs.

Building Protection

The protection of building corridors, doors, stairwells, elevators, floor coverings, public areas, lobbies and service areas is the responsibility and the expense of the tenant and/or their moving/freight company.

The mover must provide masonite or plywood along the prescribed route of movement through the building. All floor coverings shall be secured during the entire process.

Padding, corner and wall protection are required around main door frames and along main corridors and elevators. Special tape should be used to prevent removal of paint from walls and frames. Walk-off plates must be provided to protect door thresholds on all floors.

It is the responsibility of the mover to maintain a clean environment in all working and storage areas. Any and all debris generated from the move is the responsibility of the tenant or their moving contractor to dispose of immediately. This refers specifically to packing materials. The building's trash containers may not be used for disposing such materials. Access to the Loading

Dock and pathways to elevators should at no time be obstructed.

Costs associated with any damages and/or repairs as a result of the move will be the responsibility of the tenant.

Move-In Hours

We request that your move be scheduled after 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or any time on Saturday and Sunday.

Move-In Checklist

Please refer to the following checklist, provided for your convenience, is intended to help ensure a smooth transition to your new offices.

  • Order new stationery, envelopes and business cards with new address and contact numbers
  • Contact the Telephone Company regarding installation of phone service to your suite.
  • Notify the post office of your change of address
  • Send a change of address card or note to clients, vendors and friends
  • Complete required forms, keep a copy for yourself and return the original to the Management Office.
  • Furnish your moving company with a copy of the Moving Company Guidelines.

An Explanation of Forms for Your Move-In:

Move-In Day Information

This form requests information regarding your move-in day. If there are any changes, please notify our office as soon as possible. We want to ensure that there will be no scheduling conflicts and that all the proper information has been received.

Key Distribution

Keys are distributed to tenants upon move-in. Please remember to alert the Management Office, as well as retrieve suite keys, when employees holding keys leave or are terminated.

Door Sign Order

Please fill out the enclosed form with the name of your company as you wish it to be displayed outside your suite door. Door signs must be ordered at least three weeks prior to your move in order for installation to occur upon occupancy.

Directory Strip Order

Please indicate on the enclosed form exactly how you wish your lobby directory strip to read. Your directory strip must be ordered at least three weeks prior to your move in order for installation to occur upon occupancy.

Floor Response Team

This form designates individuals from your staff who will serve as floor wardens in the event of a building emergency.

Mobility Impaired Individuals

Please list those individuals who may need assistance in case of fire, earthquake or other emergency.

Spotlight Questionnaire (Optional)

From time to time, the Management Office may spotlight a tenant in a building newsletter or other communiquè. We keep this information in a file for such occasions.
